We are pleased to announce the arrival in the Japanese market of "Shufra di Shufra," an Italian extra virgin olive oil made by world-renowned musicians and composers.
Shufra di Shufra is a small farm located in the hills of Marche, overlooking the Monti Sibillini National Park in the central Apennine Mountains. It was founded by musician Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) and his wife, Sharona.
The starting point of this project was "love at first sight" when they first encountered this land more than 10 years ago. From that moment, the couple felt the vibrations of this land, its pure genuineness, and its rustic, primitive simplicity.
Driven by these natural sensations, the couple embarked on a new path of working with the soil. They became convinced that extra virgin olive oil was the product that could most directly encapsulate and convey all these sensory experiences.
From the outset, Jonny and Sharona have pursued cultivation methods that are as close to nature as possible, in harmony with the surrounding environment. They inherited the deep and invaluable wisdom of the farmers who had cultivated and protected the land for centuries. They chose ceramic bottles for the oil, as ceramic is the material that best blocks UV rays and external odors, and maintains the most stable temperature. The bottles are encased in tubes of a deep hue inspired by one of the myriad tones of olive green, sealed with Jonny Greenwood's autograph.
Greenwood Oil is Jonny and Sharona's way of generously sharing the magic of a unique place. The land itself also unconditionally bestows its rich blessings upon those who visit and those who live respectfully, feeling its essence.
